Alumni Night at Kinky Boots on Broadway

    April 15, 2013

Nearly 150 Syracuse alumni, friends, and current Tepper Semester students went to see Kinky Boots on Broadway in late March.

Immediately after the show, Ralf Zito, Chair of the Department of Drama in VPA, and Daryl Roth, alumna and producer of Kinky Boots, conducted a talkback with members of the cast and crew. Cyndi Lauper, Grammy and Emmy award-winning artist who wrote the music and lyrics for the show, also joined the talkback.

    Kinky Boots Talk Back

During the talkback, Ms. Lauper gave advice to the VPA Tepper Semester students stressing the importance of learning as much as you can while in school.

She hopes the story of Kinky Boots will bring people closer together. The unlikely friendship between the two main characters teaches "when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world."
